Why a foundation? Why should I give?
The Park Hill Education Foundation helps provide a level of excellence for our schools and our children that Park Hill parents and citizens have come to expect. Funds raised in the greater community support innovative programs and enrich educational opportunities. The Foundation provides a means for our community to become involved in public education to make a difference for our schools, our children, and thus our future.

How is the Foundation funded?
Programs of the Foundation are funded by both corporate and individual donors as well as interest earned on investments.

Is the Foundation a function of the Park Hill School District?
The Park Hill Education Foundation is a separate 501(c) (3) non-profit organization governed by its own council of directors. The 17-member council is comprised of a cross-section of the community. While the Foundation is a separate organization, its sole purpose is to support the educational mission of the Park Hill School District.

Where does the money go?
Since the inception of the Foundation in 1998, more than $1.7 million has been distributed to support innovative educational programs through classroom grants and to recognize excellence in achievement through scholarships. All of which have benefited our schools, our students, and our community.

Do other school districts have foundations? Yes, school districts across the country have established foundations to support excellence in education.

Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. The Park Hill School District Education Foundation is incorporated as a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization. A receipt for any contribution made will be mailed to the donor.
